Hospital Policies
Our hospital policies at Orange City Family Animal Care have been instituted to ensure the highest level of care for your pets while providing a smooth experience for all our clients. These guidelines help us practice the best medicine and maintain a welcoming, efficient environment. We appreciate your cooperation in following these policies, as they allow us to serve you and your pets better. Thank you for being a valued part of our veterinary family!

Hospital Policies
Family Animal Care has hospital policies that must be followed at all times, or we have the right to refuse service. These policies are subject to change at our discretion. We have the right to waive, alter, or change these policies at any time for any reason.
Payment Policies
- Payment is required for all services provided before leaving the building.
- If payment is not received at the end of an appointment (or pickup after surgery), future appointments will be canceled and no further appointments will be scheduled until full payment, including any fees that may have been accrued, has been made.
- Checks will not be held and are only accepted for current clients in good standing.
Deposit Policies
- All new clients are required to pay a $50 deposit to hold their appointment time.
- Any current client who frequently no-shows, cancels, or reschedules their appointments will be required to place a $50 deposit when scheduling to hold their appointment time.
- Any appointments that require hospitalization (new or current clients) will be required to put down at minimum a $300 deposit. A higher deposit amount may be required depending on the expected diagnostics needed.
- A deposit is not a fee! Deposits will be applied towards the visit – all we ask is that you follow our cancellation policy (24 hours notice), and you will never surrender a deposit.
Cancellation Policies
- If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
- At least 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment.
- If at least 24 hours notice is not received, you will forfeit your deposit.
- We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. “Acts of God” or true emergencies are exempt; we will use generous discretion if missing a visit cannot be helped.
